We collect information directly from you when you use Fosteo:
- Account Data: Email address, hashed password, username, creator profile information (bio, display name, avatar, banner).
- Supporter Information: Email address for receipt delivery, supporter display name (or anonymous flag), and optional supporter message.
- Settlement Details: Payout destination wallet addresses for creator revenue disbursements.
- Payment Data: Payment processing is handled directly by Stripe. Fosteo stores payment reference IDs, card brand, and card last 4 digits for receipt display and fraud detection. We do not store full credit card numbers or security codes.
- Technical Data: IP address, browser type, device information, and Cloudflare Turnstile bot detection tokens to prevent fraud and spam.
3. How We Use Your Information
We use collected information to:
- Operate, maintain, and provide the Fosteo creator platform.
- Process supporter transactions and deliver instant digital receipts and perks.
- Calculate and disburse creator revenue-share earnings.
- Prevent payment fraud, bot abuse, and unauthorized chargebacks.
- Send transactional emails (e.g. login magic links, payment receipts, subscription management links).
- Comply with legal, financial, and regulatory obligations.
4. Data Sharing & Third Parties
We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal information to third parties. We share data only with trusted service providers strictly necessary to operate our service:
- Stripe: Payment processing, card validation, and fraud protection.
- Cloudflare: DDoS mitigation, CDN, and bot protection via Cloudflare Turnstile.
- Email Service Providers: Delivering transactional receipts and notifications.
- Creators: When a supporter contributes, the creator sees the supporter's name, message, contribution amount, and tier. Full supporter payment credentials are never shared with creators.
5. Data Retention
We retain your personal data for as long as your account remains active or as needed to provide our services, resolve disputes, maintain financial records, and comply with legal obligations.

We implement industry-standard encryption (TLS/HTTPS), secure database access controls, and tokenized payment architectures to safeguard your personal data. However, no electronic transmission over the internet is 100% secure.
